To Our Dear Readers,

Welcome to the world of Warrior Saints™.  It is our pleasure to present this book to you after years of brainstorming, drafts, rewrites and editing, not to mention the countless pieces of artwork that had to be created to fit the story through all its changes (as you can imagine, much of the artwork sat to the side since the story constantly changed, therefore much appreciation goes to my brother for never slowing down his pace with the illustrations).  We hope that you get a feel for our own personal experiences while bringing our imagination to life through writing and images.  We would also like to explain to our dear readers our reasons for undertaking this project.

In recent times the sources of moral entertainment available to mainstream audiences have become less prevalent.  Mainly in television, cartoons, movies and video games there has been a gradual degradation of spiritual values and less emphasis on cultivating virtuous traits.  Conversely there has been an increase in the presentation of morally questionable as well as morally reprehensible content.  Many things that at one time would have been commonly rejected as distasteful and harmful are now accepted as the norm and entertaining.

There is also the mistaken concept that different forms of content become acceptable to viewers at different ages, so that labels are stamped on products designating what age groups they are intended for.  Among the problems with this system is that the products will always fall into the hands of people below the age for which they were designated.  But the main problem is with the concept itself, which presumes that what negatively influences children will not negatively influence adults.  In fact the negative moral effects of these products are felt by all audiences.

Our goal in producing this work is to address these issues as best as we can.  We wanted to provide an enjoyable and entertaining experience that brings a healthy change in the reader’s life.  If it inspires one person to perform one good action, gives one person an increased sense of hope or attracts one person towards an increased sense of morality then we have accomplished our goal.

As the titles imply, these are only the first parts of the Warrior Saints™ series and the story does not end with these books.  An epic tale on this grand of a scale requires more than two episodes so look for more titles to come soon.

These books are intended for readers of all ages and we hope that you enjoy reading them and viewing the art as much as we enjoyed writing and illustrating them.  Happy reading to you and your family.
